The luzerne county SPCA, PA is making it easier to adopt a pet. It's moving into the computer age and now can be found on the web. That means you can find a dog or cat 24 hours a day... seven days a week. (Ed Gross) Director of Development SPCA-"It gives us a tremendous resource availability. We can get more animal into the eyes of the community. People don't necessarily have to stop by the SPCA to see what pets are available." Jim Donnelly of Moonlight Productions is the creator of the new SPCA WEBSITE. Donnelly adopted his dog "nikki" from the SPCA and is donating his services to the SPCA. His wife writes the stories on the dogs and cats featured each week. (Jim Donnelly Moonlight Productions President) Well it stared this week...I Believe a dog was adopted...it was a border collie. (Bernie Weidlick-Dog Owner) "We clicked on the dog and went we went through my daughter instaneously fell in love with one ot the faces that were there." After browsing for a bouser...Bernie Weidlich then made a trip to the SPCA to check ou the pooch in person...and less than an hour later..cassie had a collar around her neck and was on her way home...an early easter present for her daughter Dawn. (Dawn Daubert) " I was very surprised when I saw the dog... I didn't expect anything cause I could have sworn I wasn't going to get It." And It looks like cassie is settling just fine...she's already on the staked out her spot on the couch.
